5 Days of Twitter is an online workshop which, in 20 minutes a day over 5 days, gets participants tweeting and learning about Twitter as a communication tool and medium for teaching and learning.

During each of the 5 Days of Twitter, the facilitator publishes a daily blog to get participants set up on Twitter and explore what Twitter offers in a HE context. Interacting with each other through Twitter, participants will complete 3 short activities in their own time, which will enable them to:

- Create an online presence in the Twitter community
- Learn how to tweet effectively and build a network
- Disseminate information, multimedia and polling questions to peers

The workshop covers:
1. Basics - setting up a profile and following people
2. Tweeting and @ messages
3. Retweeting and hashtags #
4. Multimedia & links
5. Polling and threads

Please note, all 3 course activities must be completed to earn an attendance mark.
